The government at all levels have been urged to be sensitive in the plight of Citizens when developing laws and policies of Climate issues.
This, among other resolutions, was communicated in a jointly signed communique at the end of a One-day meeting which sees members of Civil Society Organization( CSOs) and Media practitioners, organized by Extinction Rebellion with support from Bridge that Gap Initiative on Nature and biodiversity in Kaduna.
According to the Communique, the meeting is to bring together Media and CSOs to discuss the loss of Plant and Animal species as a result of climate change.

It further explained that it is preparatory to the Conference of Parties (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland, which is calling on world leaders to increase Climate Finance to address the loss of the rich biodiversity of Africa.
The Communique reads: “Stakeholders should actively engage media in sensitizing citizens on climate change issues.
The government at all levels should be sensitive to the plight of the citizens when developing laws and policies on climate issues.
The media should sustain its role in sensitization on Climate issues.
Healthy collaboration between the CSOs and Media on environmental actions should continue.
Government should support recycling companies in their drive to convert waste to wealth.
Government should invest in an alternative source of energy”, it reads.
