Idris Okuneye, a.k.a. Bobrisky, a controversial transvestite, entered a guilty plea to charges of naira abuse on Friday.

On Thursday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission filed six counts against him, accusing him of money laundering and abuse of naira.

However, prior to reading the charge to the defendant, the EFCC’s prosecution counsel, Suleiman Suleiman, requested the court to dismiss counts five and six (money laundering charges) and instead arraign him on counts one to four.

As a result, Justice Abimbola Awogboro dismissed counts five and six.

Bobrisky was subsequently brought before the court, and he admitted his guilt on counts one to four.

Upon being questioned about his comprehension of the charge presented to him, he readily admitted, “Yes, I am guilty.”

Bobrisky arrived at the Federal High Court in Lagos around 11:50am for his arraignment on charges of money laundering and naira abuse.

Bobrisky is facing six counts related to money laundering and abuse of the naira, as filed by the EFCC on Thursday.

The individual, who had been in custody since Wednesday night, was unable to fulfil the administrative bail provided to them on Thursday.
