A Badagry Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State on Thursday remanded a 23-year-old man, Sikiru Kamin, in prison following his plea of guilty to stealing.
Kamin, whose address was not provided, is facing a count charge of stealing property valued at N80,000. The Magistrate, Mr. Patrick Adekomaiya, adjourned the case until Feb.2, for review of facts of the case and sentencing.

Earlier, the Prosecutor, ASP. Ikem Uko, told the court that the defendant committed the offense on Jan. 4 at about 1:30 p.m. at Zone C 44, Alafia Str., Ibereko, Badagry, 10 Lagos.
Uko told the court that the defendant stole one jogger pair of trousers valued at N25,000, a shirt valued at N35,000, one packet of boxer pants valued at N5,000, and a sandal valued at N15,000.
According to the prosecutor, the total value of the stolen property was N80, 000, belonging to the complainant, Blessing Anurigwo.
“The defendant was arrested by the complainant and others and handed over to the police for prosecution.
The offense contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2015.
