An upper Area Court, Karu in Abuja on Friday, ordered that a teenager, Mubarak Abdulrahman who pleaded guilty to stealing a carjack worth N18,000 be remanded, pending sentencing.

The police charged Abdulrahman, 18, who lives at Tipper Garage, Mararaba, Nassarawa State, Abuja, with theft by servant.

The Judge, Malam Hassan Mohammed, adjourned the case until Oct. 11, for sentencing.

Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Olanrewaju Osho told the court that sometimes in the month of August, the defendant dishonestly entered into the complainant’s truck and stole a motor jack worth N18, 000.

Osho said the matter was reported at the Karu Police Station by Khadijat Olarinoye of Kurudu, Abuja.

He said the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 289 of the Penal Code.
