The Kano High Court has granted an interim injunction, restraining the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture and 2 other Respondents from holding its proposed Annual General Meeting, scheduled to hold on18th of this month, at Grand Central Hotel, pending the hearing of the originating summons.

This followed a motion Ex-parte to that effect filed by Barrister Lawan Yaro Muhammmad, Counsel to the Applicants before Justice Yusuf Ubale Muhammad

In his ruling, Justice Ubale said upon reading motion Ex-parte by Barrister Lawan Muhammmad Yaro dated and filed on 14th December, 2021 along with 36 Paragraphs affidavit in support and duly sworn to 6th Applicants in the suit, Alhaji Aminu Dangana restrained the defendants from, organizing, summoning or convening any event or taking decision to the propose Annual General Meeting of Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture on the Saturday, 18th December, 2021

“An order of Interim Injunction is hereby granted, restraining the defendants, either by themselves, agents, servant, privies, supporters, cohorts, assigns, delegates, committee groups or by whatever name called, from presiding over, organizing summoning or convening any event, activities, or taking any decision to hold the proposed Annual General Meeting of the 1st defendant, scheduled to hold on 18th December, 2021 by 10:00 am at Grand Central Hotel, Kano, pending the hearing and determination of the Applicant’s Originating Summons dated 14 December 2021”.

According to the Ex-parte order, the six Applicants in the case including: Electro Data System Limited, Mobile Resources and Investment Limited, Gidauniya Investment and Securities Limited, Passionate Impression Limited, Inter System Nigeria Limited and Alhaji Aminu Dangana.

On the other side of 3 Respondents including: Kano Chamber of Commerce Industries Mines and Agriculture, Alhaji Dalhatu Abubakar and Alhaji Ahmad Rabiu

The court adjourned the case to 11th January, 2022 for the hearing of originating summons, and ordered that all the Respondents be served with the necessary documents before the next adjourn date.
