The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) on Monday confirmed that COVID-19 cases on the African continent has reached 3,667,546

The continental disease control and prevention agency also confirmed that the death toll in Africa stood at 95,075.

It noted that a total of 3,192,561 people infected with COVID-19 have recovered,while Southern Africa is the most affected region.

The northern Africa region is the next affected according to the CDC.

The most affected African countries in terms of the number of positive cases include South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, and Ethiopia.

South Africa also reported the highest number of deaths related to COVID-19, at 46,290 as of Monday.
