In an effort to enhance the growth of African creatives and spur development within communities, creative economy practice is set to debut in Nigeria.
The practice will be focused on stimulating increased innovation and technology adoption in the African creative economy to catalyse further growth, Co-Creation Hub (cc-Hub), the umbrella body for the practice said in a statement.
Co Creation Hub said that the outcomes would be delivered through a range of activities including ecosystem and community development activities, and research and insight sharing.

It also said that the outcomes would be delivered through business incubation and acceleration as well as investor education and advocacy.
NAN reports that a creative economy is based on people’s use of their creative imagination to increase value.
To drive launching of the creative economy practice, a team lead, Ms Ojoma Ochai, has been appointed Managing Partner.
Ochai joins the family of leading innovation enablers under the Cc-HUB umbrella.
She has over 15 years of experience, supporting the development of the global creative economy through capacity building, technical assistance to the public and private sectors and leading international cooperation projects in the cultural and creative industries.
Ochai is a Fellow of the DEVOS Institute of Arts Management, University of Maryland, U.S., and an Associate Fellow of the Nigerian Leadership Institute.
She sits on the board of the African Technology and Creative Group.
Ochai worked for many years at the British Council.
She worked as Regional Director for Arts and Creative Economy Programmes for British Council in Sub Saharan Africa until October. (NAN)
