Popular Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote’s new colorless petrol, branded as Premium Motor Spirit, has become a hot topic online following the presentation of its sample by the African billionaire.

Daily News 24 reports that Mr Dangote officially announced the start of petrol production at the 650,000 barrels per day Dangote Refinery.

During a press presentation of the initial petrol sample, Dangote assured Nigerians of a top-quality supply of Premium Motor Spirit for their vehicles, stating, “You are now going to have good petrol while the engines of your vehicles will last longer.”

In addition, Dangote, a native of Kano state, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for allowing the sale of crude oil in Naira.

Expanding on the reasons behind the clarity of the petrol from his refinery, Dangote said the product is more environmentally friendly and could potentially reduce health issues associated with polluted petroleum products.

He also noted that it would help prevent engine damage commonly caused by lower-quality petrol available on the market.
Dangote was accompanied by his daughter, Fatimah Dangote, the refinery’s vice-president.

The colorless petrol from the Dangote Refinery has generated varied online reactions, with some people comparing it to water or tequila and questioning its performance compared to existing petrol options.
