Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has lauded the residents of Kano for their unwavering dedication to democratic principles.

He assured that Governor Abba’s administration remains committed to delivering good governance and transparency.

This assurance was conveyed in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, in celebration of Democracy Day.

The Deputy Governor praised the residents for their contributions to the state’s growth and development, emphasizing that the government will continue its efforts to provide the dividends of democracy to all citizens.

“As we mark Democracy Day, we commend the people of Kano for their steadfast commitment to the principles of democracy,” said Abdussalam. “The Abba administration will persist in its pursuit of transparency, accountability, and inclusive leadership, ensuring that Kano continues to be a beacon of democracy and progress in Nigeria.”

In his dual role as Deputy Governor and Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abdussalam reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to fostering a transparent and accountable government.

The statement highlights the significance of Democracy Day, commemorating Nigeria’s transition to democratic rule in 1999, and underscores Kano’s ongoing commitment to these democratic values.
