Former Governor of Cross River State, Mr Donald Duke, has debunked reports linking him to working against the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

This follows a statement accredited to him calling on Nigerians not to vote for Atiku to avoid bringing the country down.

He dismissed the statement saying it lacked credibility and conflicts with reality while calling on Nigerians not to believe it.

He further explained that his father died in 1988, 34 years ago and never knew Atiku to the extent of making such a statement against him.

“My dad passed 1988, 34 years ago. He never knew Atiku intimately to have made any disparaging comments on him and I certainly never made this statement” Duke said.
