The Department of State Services, (DSS), on Sunday arrested Chairman, Kano State Consumer Protection Council, Idiris Dambazau over allegations of economic sabotage.

It was gathered that operatives of the secret police accused him of unilaterally shutting down seven petrol filling stations without following due process.

Solacebase, a Kano based online newspaper reports that all efforts to make Dambazau to unseal the filling stations failed, despite the facts that he allegedly undertook an illegal assignments which is beyond the powers of the Consumer Protection Council.
