Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has explained that Brighton defeated his team 2-1 in Saturday’s Premier League tie at Emirates Stadium because his players were sloppy on the ball during the encounter.
Two goals from Leandro Trossard and Enock Mwepu gave Brighton all three points against Arsenal.
Martin Odegaard did score a late goal for the Gunners.

The result against Brighton means Arsenal is in the fifth position on the Premier League table with 54 points from 30 games.
“The first half was poor again,” Arteta said at his post-match press conference after the game.
“The reaction we wanted to show and talk about is we did not make it happen on the pitch. We were sloppy on the ball, second-best again in situations and did not show momentum in the game or play with the right speed.
“What happens now is we criticise ourselves a lot. We were really poor again in the first half. We know this route is taking us nowhere.”
