Frank Lampard has named John Terry, Didier Drogba, Eden Hazard, Sergio Aguero and Gianfranco Zola as five of his greatest teammates.

Lampard spent 13 years at Chelsea before spending a short stint at Manchester City towards the end of his playing career.

Four of the England legend’s picks came from his time at the Blues, while Manchester City is also represented.

The 43-year-old, who spoke with Planet Football, said that former Man City star, Aguero made the cut.

He said: “I was not at Man City for long, but straight away you could see that this guy [Aguero] was world-class. The goals he scored on the training pitch every day were frightening and he took that on to the field.”

Speaking on Gianfranco Zola, Lampard said “He was fantastic on and off the field. A great fella and a fantastic footballer.”

The legendary midfielder turned his attentions to Hazard and said: “There is no limit to how far he can go.

“Hazard is the most naturally gifted player I played with and on his day he is unstoppable.

“He has said he wants to be up there with the best players in the world and he has the talent to do that. He just needs to add the consistency and the goals of a Messi or a Ronaldo to be considered in that class.”

Others in his list are John Terry and Didier Drogba, “First and foremost they are great footballers, but they are also winners and that is what sets them apart from most players.

“In the big games, when it matters the most, these men, and that is what they are, stood up to be counted, and they are comfortably the top two I have played with for that reason,” he said about them.

Frank Lampard went on to become Chelsea manager after he stopped playing active football.

The former England international was, however, sacked by the club after failing to meet the expectations of the club’s management and owner and Thomas Tuchel, a former Paris Saint-Germain gaffer was appointed in his place.

During his 13-year spell at Stamford Bridge, Lampard won the Champions League, Premier League, FA and Carabao cups with the Blues and is currently out of job.
