Liverpool has confirmed that midfielder, Fabinho, has suffered a muscle issue ahead of their away Premier League clash against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon at the King Power Stadium.
Liverpool disclosed this in a post via its official website on Friday.
The Reds head to the game following a 4-1 defeat against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in their previous fixture last weekend.
Confirming the development, Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp told his pre-match press conference on Friday that: “Fab will not be available.
“He suffered again a little muscle issue, so will be out for this game [against Leicester].”
After the Leicester City game, Liverpool will travel to Budapest to take on RB Leipzig in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 tie next Tuesday before hosting Everton at Anfield next Saturday.
