Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba has approved protection for Nigerians who fled the Russian-Ukraine war.
Baba ordered the deployment of operatives to ensure a coordinated security arrangement.
Force spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi announced this in a terse statement on Saturday.

The team is led by the Deputy Commissioner in charge, Disaster Management Unit (DMU), Mary Obasi.
The police is working with sister agencies and government parastatals, Adejobi noted.
They include Ministries of Foreign Affairs; Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development; National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
The operation, which began on Thursday has received returnees from Bucharest, Romania and Warsaw, Poland.
More than 800 Nigerians have been evacuated from Ukraine as of Saturday. They arrived Abuja in three flights.
