” They have great zeal and passion for the people and for peace, unity and development.
“Engr. A A Sule is doing well and he is providing the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of the state,” he said
The former speaker further made a case for government to assist the families of soldiers who died fighting for peace in Toto Local Government Area.
He acknowledged the “pragmatic efforts of Gov. Abdullahi Sule and the Nigerian Army” in ensuring that peace returned to the area while advising against politicising security issues.
Abdullahi revealed that government had concluded arrangements to establish a permanent military base in Katapha, in an effort to end the matter.
On his part, the “Ohimegye OPanda”, Umaisha, Alhaji Usman Abdullahi, admonished people of Toto to avoid politicising the security situation of the area that resulted in loss of lives and property.
The first class traditional ruler appealed to the people of the area to forge a common front, irrespective of their differences and support government to return a permanent peace in the area, to enhance development.
The Chairman, Toto LGA, Mr Abdullahi Tashas and the Overseer of Umashia Development Area, Mr Iliyasu Miriam, appealed to privileged individuals within the area to provide succour to the internally displaced persons.
