The Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), has matriculated 3,870 students into various departments for the 2021/2022 academic session.

The Vice Chancellor (VC) of the University, Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu-Bichi, disclosed this during the matriculation on Monday at Dutsinma Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina.

According to the vice Chancellor, the matriculated students were from the more than 10,000 candidates that applied for admission into the institution.

He described the university which was established in 2012 with only three faculties as one of the well sought for universities in Nigeria.

Hamisu-Bichi added that, “it started with only three Faculties in 2012 and now it has 12 faculties with several departments under them as well as a Post-Graduate School.

 

“Out of all the more than 10,000 candidates that applied to this university, today, we are matriculating 3,870 students into various  Departments in their respective faculties.

“Therefore, I share with you the joy of being admitted into your respective programmes of your choice. I once again welcome you all to this wonderful serene environment”.

The VC, while encouraging the students to concentrate on their studies as the school rewards excellent performances, also warned them on engaging in social vices, cultism and examination misconduct.

The new students were also advised to take advantage of the sports facilities and avoid indecent dressing.

On the issue of security, Hamisu-Bichi urged the students to embrace basic security tips that may be released from time to time.
