A mysterious fire destroyed the Sokoto Zonal Command office of the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) on Saturday, Politics Nigeria reports.

The cause of the fire was still unknown as of the time of publishing this report.

According to PoliticsNigeria, It was learnt that the fire which started around 1pm kept raging until around 4pm when it was put off by fire-fighters.

It was also gathered that the administration section of the command was completely burnt.

Confirming the incident, Hajiya Hassanah Mikailu, the Public Relations Officer of the Command said the scenario was devastating.

She stressed that no life was lost, PoliticsNigeria reports.
