On Sunday, a fire destroyed five rows of shops in Ibadan’s Agbeni Market.

Mr Yemi Akinyinka, General Manager of Oyo State Fire Service, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the fire had been extinguished.

He claimed that at 4:37 a.m., when the market was closed, a security guard at an adjacent bank called the fire department.

Akinyinka stated that no lives were lost in the fire and thanked the CBN Fire Service for allowing the Oyo State Fire Service to use its fire hydrant to extinguish it.
