The Mao Feng Global Trust Nigeria Limited, located at the famouse Sharada Industrial Estate in Kano, has been gulped by heavy fire outbreak that burnt down buildings and unestimated amount of property, Thursday evening.

The fire which brokeout at 7:32 pm burnt down a very big store containing some juice products as well as part of the production building.

However, the timely intervention of the Kano Fire Service brought the situation under control. No life has so far been said to have been lost in the inferno.

Addressing newsmen on the couuse of the fire, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, of the Fire Service explained that investigation to identify the real course of the fire is on course.

“Our control room received an emergency call at about 19:32 hrs from one of our staff Bakiru Musa, who reported an out break of fire at Mao Feng Global Trust Nig. Ltd Sharada Kwanar Kasuwa.

“We turned out our men from Central, and Sharada fire stations.

“On their arrival at the scene of the incident by 19:38 hrs they found that, the premises is on blaze as a building of ground floor of about 700 x 600 feet used as a Star Zeal Orange Drinks Company was burning profusely.

“According to the owners of the premises the fire started from the store and spread to production area.

“The whole store was well alight, while the production area is slightly alight when our men arrived the scene. With good effort of our men we successfully saved the second store and offices from also getting burnt” he stated.
