Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS), Kano State chapter says it received no fewer than 22 complaints between June and July.

Abdullahi Al-ameen, the commander, NHFSS in the state disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday.

Al-ameen said that of the total complaints received within the period under review, five had been treated and done with, while 17 were still pending

According to him, most of the complaints were on cases of animal theft, food theft, phone snatching and fraud.

“But we are trying to nip the various criminal activities in the forest in the bud.”

He added that the chapter was trying its best to live up to its mandate, which included prevention, detection of crimes and illegal activities perpetrated in the forests.

He therefore solicited the cooperation of the public to make the state a zero-crime free society.
