The Code of Conduct Tribunal has suspended Muhuyi Magaji, Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anticorruption Commission in Kano.

The Tribunal has granted the Complainant’s application, which directs the defendant to temporarily step aside from their position as the Chairman of the Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission of Kano state.

This decision comes as a result of allegations that the defendant has violated the provisions of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act CAP C15 LFN 2004.

The case against the Defendant/Respondent is currently pending before this Tribunal, and this ruling will remain in effect until the case is heard and determined.

A directive has been issued to the Executive Governor of Kano state and the Secretary to the Government of Kano state, instructing them to promptly appoint a suitable officer to assume the role of Acting Chairman of the Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission.

This appointment will remain in effect until the case against the Defendant/Respondent is heard and resolved by the Tribunal.
