Ex-Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has emerged as the new National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He was elected during the 12th National Executive Committee (NEC) Caucus meeting of the party held in Abuja.

Daily News 24 observes that his appointment follows the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu last month.

President Bola Tinubu had shown interest in Ganduje succeeding Adamu.

Furthermore, Ajibola Bashiru, a former Senate Spokesperson, has been officially confirmed as the party’s national secretary.

The NEC meeting witnessed the presence of Vice-President Kashim Shettima, several governors, and prominent party chieftains alongside Tinubu.

More details on the proceedings will be provided later as they unfold.
