Kano State Deputy Governor Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has commended members of the women’s wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their contribution to the development of the State.

He made the statement while receiving the State APC WOMEN Leader Hajiya Fatima Abdullahi Dala who led a delegation of Women Leaders and other stalwarts of the party across the 44 local government areas to pay him a congratulatory visit over his emergence as the flag bearer of the APC in the State.

Gawuna wins Kano APC Governorship Primary

A statement signed by Hassan Musa Fagge, Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor said he believes women are known for their loyalty, straightforwardness, dedication and commitment and will to support APC attain victory during the coming general elections.

The Deputy Governor enjoined them as mothers and vanguards of development to continue to instill good moral values and character to their children through moulding them in order to have a strong and better society.

Gawuna further explained that women in Kano had been given recognition as the administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is conscious of their role, capacity, contribution and welfare.

He also thanked them for the visit and assured of continued support towards the success of the APC.

Earlier, the State APC Women Leader Hajiya Fatima Dala said the purpose of the visit is to congratulate the Deputy Governor for winning the Gubernatorial Primary Election.

She said his emergence as the candidate has added value and confidence to the party because he is a man with political clout and pedigree.

“I want to assure you that we the women in APC will go to all nooks and crannies of the State to pray and campaign for your victory at the polls she stated”.

In attendance during the occasion were the Commissioner for Higher Education Dr.Mariya Bunkure,Special Adviser Political Affairs Mustapha Bakwana,State APC Treasurer ‘Yardada Maikano,APC Kano Municipal House of Representatives Candidate Muktar Ishak and other Senior Government Officials.
