The Bauchi State Government has officially announced the appointment of Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya as the 17th Emir of Ningi.
The announcement was made by His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, in accordance with the powers vested in him by the state’s laws on the appointment of Emirs and Chiefs.

Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya, who is the eldest son of the late Emir of Ningi, has been given a 1st Class status in his new role. The appointment was recommended by the kingmakers and formalized through a letter signed by the Secretary to the Bauchi State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim.
The Bauchi State Government expressed confidence in the new Emirโs ability to uphold the legacy of his late father, particularly in promoting unity, peace, and development within the Ningi Emirate and the state at large.
Under the leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed, the Bauchi State Government reiterated its commitment to supporting traditional institutions, recognizing their crucial role in fostering peace and progress in the communities.
Governor Bala Mohammed extended his prayers for the peaceful repose of the late Emir’s soul and wished the new Emir good health, long life, and a successful reign.
Born in 1956 in Ningi, Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya was the immediate past Chiroman Ningi. He is happily married with children.
