Super Eagles captain and Kano Pillars star, Ahmed Musa, has been appointed as the Sport Ambassador for Kano State by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Expressing his gratitude, Musa took to his X handle on Wednesday to share his excitement about the new role. “I am deeply honoured to be appointed as the Sports Ambassador for Kano State!” he wrote.

He continued, “This opportunity is quite humbling, and I’m excited to work towards empowering the youth and promoting sports development across the state. Kano has a rich sporting heritage, and I can’t wait to contribute to building a brighter future for our athletes and communities.”
Musa also extended his appreciation to the Kano State Government, saying, “Thank you to the Kano State Government ably led by @Kyusufabba for this incredible responsibility and opportunity. Together, we’ll inspire the next generation to achieve greatness both on and off the field. Let’s make history!”
Musa’s appointment is expected to further bolster sports development in Kano and inspire young athletes across the state.
Footballer, Ahmed Musa reduces petrol pump price in Kano
Recall how popular Nigerian Footballer, Ahmed Musa announced the reduction of price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at own fueling station, MYCA7 in Kano from N620 to N580 per litre.
Daily News 24 reported that the professional footballer made the announcement on his verified twitter page.
Via Twitter, Musa declared, “Fuel ⛽️ #580 @MYCA -7 Filling Station Kano 🏃♀️🏃♀️,” sparking excitement among Nigerians.
One Twitter user, Scala @lakaas123, excitedly enquired How manage Alhaji? N580 in Kano when not in Lagos? Are you whining us?” to which Musa replies, “That is what me I decide to sell my own 🤷♂️.”
This came few days after Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced an increase of the petrol pump price to N617 per litre.
