Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has reappointed Yusuf Shuaibu Imam aka Ogan Boye as his Special Adviser on Youths and Sports, a few months after the governor sacked him for threatening election tribunal judges.
Daily News reports that Mr Imam’s reappointment came less than a week after Aliyu Kibiya, a commissioner, who was also removed over similar act, was re-nominated by Mr Yusuf and confirmed by the state’s House of Assembly.
The appointment was included among that of eight other fresh ones, including three other Special Advisers, Executive Secretary, Director General, Managing Director and two Deputy Managing Directors.
However, the Commissioner was renominated by the Governor and had recently been confirmed by the State Assembly for reappointment.
The fresh new appointments include according to the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, include Prof. Ibrahim Magaji Barde as Special Adviser, Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), Dr. Abdulhamid Danladi, Special Adviser on Diaspora II and Engr. Bello Muhammad Kiru, Special Adviser on Water Resources.

Dr. Nura Jafar Shanono is moved from Special Adviser Water Resources to Managing Director, Water Resources Engineering and Construction Agency (WRECA) and Baba Abubakar Umar is also moved from Special Adviser to Executive Secretary, Private and Voluntary Institutions Management Board.
Others are Nasir Mansur Muhammad appointed as Director General, Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs), Aminu Hamidu Bako Kofar Na’isa to serve as Deputy Managing Director (DMD), Kano Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA) while Engr. Mukhtar Yusuf is to serve as Deputy Managing Director (DMD), Water Resources Engineering and Construction Agency (WRECA).
The Spokesperson pointed out that while the appointments are with immediate effect in furtherance of the governor’s efforts to place more capable hands to take Kano state to greater heights.
