Gunmen are said to have kidnapped the Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation’s Director of News, Priestba Anthony-Nwokocha, in Port Harcourt.

Pastor Ebi Ogolo, the Director of Administration at RSBC, confirmed the development to journalists, saying Anthony-Nwokocha was kidnapped on Friday evening between Slaughter and the YKC area of Port Harcourt.

According to Ogolo, the director was kidnapped on her way home from work.

He begged security agencies to intervene immediately and ensure her quick and safe release.

Meanwhile, the Rivers State Police Command has been informed of the kidnapping, but an official statement from them has yet to reach journalists.
