Hadejia Emirate’s alms Committee says it collected and distributed zakka worth N357,456,315.00 during the 2023/2024 collection exercise.
The Emirate spokesperson, Mr Muhammed Talaki, said this in a Statement he signed and made available to newsmen on Friday in Dutse.
The Chairman of the committee, Mr Abdulfatah Tahir, the Talban Hadejia, said the collection comprised assorted bags of grains, domestic animals and cash.

He said the items were collected from the 27 districts in the area and were distributed to the less privileged in accordance with Islamic criteria.
Tahir said that Auyo district was the first in the collection of N42,053,500:00, while Guri district was the second with the collection of N40,670,000:00.
He said the third to collect was Waje district with collection of N31,095,500:00.
The Emir of Hadejia, Dr Adamu Abubakar-Maje, commended the committee members for a wonderful performance and charged them to redouble their efforts to maintain the status quo.
He urged clerics in the area to continue educating people on the importance of giving out zakka to purify their wealth and promote peaceful co-existence.
Abubakar-Maje directed members of the committee to set up a mobilisation team to work closely with other clerics on the concept.
