UK entertainment, a film production company, has sued popular Kannywood actress, Hafsat Idris, for an alleged breach of contract.

In a suit before Kano High Court 14 sitting at Ungogo Local Government, the actress was accused of collecting N1.3 million to feature in a TV series but ending up not fulfiling the terms of the agreement reportedly signed by both parties, Daily Trust reports.

The plaintiff claimed damages were incurred by the production firm due to the breach of contract by Idris.

The film production company asked the court to award N10 million as damages.

The defendant, through her attorney, filed a formal response to the claims.

The court adjourned the case for hearing.

Who is Hafsat Idris?

Hafsat Ahmad Idris (born 14 July 1987) is a Nigerian film actress in the Kannywood film industry.

She participated in her first movie called Barauniya (2016).

She won the 2019 female actress award.
