The state Hisbah Commander, Malam Ibrahim Dahiru, disclosed this in an interview on Thursday in Dutse. He stated that the seizure occurred during an early morning operation targeting three bars in Kazaure town.
“Our operatives raided three bars in Kazaure Local Government Area, where they succeeded in seizing 78 cartons of assorted beer,” Dahiru said.
However, he noted that no arrests were made as the owners and patrons fled upon sighting the Hisbah personnel.
The commander emphasized that the consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited across the state and vowed that the board would continue its efforts to enforce the law.
“The confiscated items will soon be taken to court,” Dahiru added.
