Barely 48 hours to the much talked about Kaduna state local government election, headquarter of the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM) is consumed by activities in preparation for the movement of voting materials and personnel to the 23 LGAs in the state.
A visit to the KADSIECOM office along Sokoto roadshows the premises stormed with personnel, Adhoc staff, observers, politicians, among other stakeholders.
Some of the politicians who refused to speak to the media were seen checking the final cleared lists of contestants placed in front of the premises.
An Observer, Mr Salako Johnson, representing Women First For Better life Ministry said so far so good there is transparency in the preparation of the election.
He added that the E-Voting type of election adopted for the poll would drastically reduce any form of manipulation and rigging in the election.
He, however, expressed dismay that the insecurity bedevilling some parts of the state might negatively affect the turnout of electorates.
Kaduna state citizens across the 23 LGAs and 255 wards of the states ate expected to match out to polling votes and select their preferred Candidate for Local government Chairmen and Councillors.
