A resident of Danbare Quarters, Kumbotso LGA, identified as Jamilu reported to security agencies, after he met his wife in pool of blood and children with grievous injuries.
The wife identified as Rukayya Jamilu, 21 years old was met lifeless on her bed while her children named Anwar Jamilu, 3 years old, and Amina Jamilu, 1-years old sustained injuries.
The husband explained that he met his family in that condition as he came back from his work place.

Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, fsi raised and instructed a team of detectives led by SP Ibrahim Hamma, Divisional Police Officer, Dorayi Babba Division to investigate the scene.
The victims were rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano where the housewife was examined and confirmed dead by Medical Doctor while the two other victims were admitted.
Investigations conducted by the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department and DSS led to the arrest of the Principal suspect, Abdulsamad Suleiman, 18 years old, of Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters, Gwale LGA Kano State and his accomplice, one Mu’azzam Lawan, 17 years old of the same address.
Abdulsalam Suleiman confessed that on 12/02/2022, he went to the house and stole 3 mobile phones.
“She recognized me as I stole the phones, I used a wooden-made pestle and repeatedly hit her head and also hit her two children”.
He further confessed that he gave one of the Mobile phones to his friend and sold the other two at Twelve Thousand Naira.
His friend who was arrested also disclosed that he sold the mobile phone given to him at Two Thousand Naira.
The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, fsi warned that criminals have no hiding place in Kano State.
He noted that “They are advised to either repent or leave the State completely. Otherwise, they will be arrested and face the full wrath of the Law”.
He commended the Kano State Government, Citizens, other security agencies, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and Community Policing Stakeholders for their encouragement, and cooperation towards eradicating crime in the state.
The Commissioner urged residents to report incidences to the nearest Police Station, and avoid jungle justice.
“Rigorous patrol, raids of criminal hideouts, and black spots will continue throughout the State, as the Command will sustain the ongoing “Operation Puff Adder”. He added.
The case will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
