A group under the auspices of ‘I am Nigeria’ has tasked Members of the fourth realm, the media, with the unity of Nigeria through their reportage responsibilities.
The group gave the plea at a media conference held in Kaduna to finding a lasting solution to the crisis in Nigeria.
Convener of the group, Mr Julius Denham, said that the media play a vital role in developing a Nation, urging them to increase their efforts towards the development of the nation Nigeria.

According to him, “The media is the engine room of information. Every morning we wake up and see things, we hear things, and these are gateways to our hearts, so we believe that if we can put the right concepts, the right words in our hearts, the right information in the public domain, then eventually the mind of the people will begin to turn towards seeing the nation as something to reckon with”.
He emphasized the problem of Nigeria is not the Constitution; instead, the media have a great work e to do in the unity of the Nation.
Also, speaking at the occasion, a one-time Senator in the state, an activist, Senator Shehu Sani, lamented the disconnection that exists in the country.
The former senator represented by Alh. Yusuf Muhammed, therefore urged the forum, ‘I am Nigeria’ to reach out to the common people for proper enlightenment, which he is optimistic will help cement the unity of Nigeria.
“I am pleading to ‘I am Nigeria’ to bring the Gospel of living in peace with one another to the downtrodden”, Sani pleaded.
