The International Committee of Red Cross ICRC has trained Health Officers on managing the dead body in a sanitary way.

Kano Head Office of ICRC trained the Health personnel from various States not to spread the disease peculiar to the dead body to the healthy people.

The two-day workshop aims to impact the knowledge they have learned to their team members that saddle with the responsibility of managing the dead body.

An Assistant Director with the Federal Ministry of Health, an Epidemiologist, Mr Adebayo Durojaye, said the knowledge would help them achieve a lot in the task given to them.

“This knowledge is immense to our working partners, to avoid transmitting the disease to ourselves which at the end to the larger society.

“So ICRC sees it necessary to support us with this knowledge, to serve as the trainer to those that didn’t get the opportunity to attend the training,” Adebayo Durojaye.

Participants say they will spread the knowledge due to its importance to the Nigerian Community, especially in the time of the pandemic.
