In the wake of a recent attack and invasion on both government and private facilities in Adamawa State, allegedly carried out by hoodlums in search of palliatives, the Acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Egbetokun, has issued a directive to enhance security measures around warehouses nationwide.
Just a week ago, Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, witnessed a distressing incident where numerous hoodlums stormed government and private warehouses in pursuit of food and essential items.
Tragically, it is feared that the violence resulted in the loss of five lives.
Subsequently, Governor Ahamdu Fintiri enforced a 24-hour curfew, prompting security agents to arrest around 45 individuals in an effort to restore order and stability.
