The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPoB yesterday alleged that the Federal Government of Nigeria is releasing terrorist arrested by its security agents without recourse to the law, urging them stop such alleged illegality.
IPoB also alleged that the Federal government action is partial, one sided and tribal oriented, accusing the it of releasing alleged criminals while still detaining people agitating for Biafra.
The pro-Biafra group, claimed that from all indication it is vividly clear that Nigerian Federal Government is covertly sponsors and supporting terrorists who have massacred thousand of a lot of people, while it is claiming to be fighting them.
A statement by IPoB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful entitled, “Nigeria government is illegally releasing arrested terrorists, yet detaining Biafra freedom agitators”, alleged that 101 arrested member of Boko Haram terrorist, have been released from Ikoyi prison by the Federal government of Nigeria, while still detaining unarmed and peaceful IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and members of the pro-Biafea group in various detention facilities across Nigeria.
IPoB’s statement read, “The global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, under the leadership and command of Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu Kanu, condemns the recent illegal release of terrorist arrested by security agents by Nigeria government.
“It is shocking that the same Nigeria Federal government pretending to be fighting terrorist, is still illegally detaining Biafra freedom agitators, while illegally detaining unarmed and peaceful IPoB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPoB members in various detention facilities across Nigeria.
“It is public knowledge that this Federal government is covertly sponsoring and supports terrorists who have massacred a lot of people by the way they colluded with the terrorists to free their members from Kuje prison. The same Government has unconditionally released the remaining terrorists from Ikoyi prison.
These fulani terrorists freed by their Government were either swaped with the Abuja train hostages or freed to prepare for National Jihad as the Fulanization agenda is at it’s final stage.
“The Boko Haram terrorists detained in Ikoyi, Prison Lagos, were never taken to Court since their detention in 2019. We are aware no Court freed or granted them bail, but they were released through Presidential cabals order.
They have been unconditionally released to continue their jihad, terrorism lucrative business.
“In the face of this tribalism and travesty of justice, the Nigeria government kidnapped and continue to detain the IPoB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in a solitary confinement with other IPoB members unjustly. The present Nigerian government is simply telling Nigerians that no other people or other tribe matters except their murderous terrorist brothers from Fulani tribe.
“This is to show Ndigbo, all Biafrans, and others that they are not needed in Nigeria.
Nigeria government should unconditionally release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other IPoB members currently being detained in several security custodies in Nigeria immediately.
“Why will Biafrans be in prison for peacefully agitating for a referendum to be conducted for Independent Biafra Nation, while terrorists who murdered thousands are freed because they are Muslims or Fulanis? Yet the same government keep deceiving the world with fake audio killings of terrorists and bandits whereas they are freeing the ones that were arrested. What a government.
“We are calling men and women of good conscience across the world to prevail on Nigeria government and it’s compromised security agents to unconditionally release IPoB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other IPoB members, self-determination is a fundamental human right both internationally and locally.
“IPoB leader and members must be released if Nigeria wants peace. Nigeria government and and its controllers should fanning the fire that will consume them. IPoB is on an irreversible divine mandate to restore Biafra, and those who stand in our way will be consumed. It is only a matter of time”.
