A 3 man delegation from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Abuja hub has undertaken a visit to Kano state to review it’s funded projects in the state. The delegation were welcomed by the Kano State Agro–Pastoral Development (KSADP).
The supervisory mission, led by Dr. Javed Saifur Rahman, Dr. Umar Alhaji Ibrahim, and Malam Sabi’u Awwal, visited Kano to interact with the KSADP Project Management Unit, state government officials, stakeholders, and beneficiaries of projects funded by the bank.
According to a press statement KSADP, obtained by Daily News 24, The bank oversees projects under KSADP to ensure quality, compliance with procurement guidelines, timely completion, disbursement targets, and project impact assessment.
The delegation inspected projects including the upgraded Getso Cattle Market, the new Gwarzo Slaughterhouse, a mini rice mill at Dakwara, Gwarzo, a maize seed multiplication plot at Dando, Gwarzo, and the Gwale Vet Reference Laboratory.
It also visited the Kano Fura Da Nono Cooperative Society Kofar Wambai, where they assessed the cold storage facility constructed by the KSADP.
Dr. Javed Saifur Rahman expressed satisfaction with achieved results and stressed the need for sustained commitment to accomplish further positive outcomes.
The team also met with the Managing Director of Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA) and the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Danjuma Mahmood.
