An Islamic Cleric, Bashir Aliyu-Umar of Al-Furqan Mosque, Nasarawa, Kano State, has advised Muslims to intensify prayers on the last 10 days of Ramadan to receive blessings from Allah.

The cleric gave the advice while delivering Juma’at sermon on Friday in Kano.

The Imam, who said that seeking forgiveness from Allah, particularly in the last 10 days of Ramadan, could be particularly rewarding, enjoined Muslims to imbibe the habit.

According to him, intensifying prayers in the last days of Ramadan will ensure they receive blessings of the “Night of Majesty” known as Laylatul Qadir.

“If you don’t feel as though you have given your best so far in Ramadan, don’t despair.

“The last ten nights are still your opportunity to receive forgiveness, mercy, and greater spiritual rewards. Approach this time with commitment and positivity,” he said.

He said they should also ensure their family members engaged in prayers in the last days of Ramadan.

“Anyone who is able to pray and worship in the Night of Majesty will have a reward equivalent to someone who has been worshipping for many years.

“The doors of blessings have been open during Ramadan, and Muslims should fervently seek for the Night of Majesty.

“Muslims should seek for the night on the last odd days of Ramadan commencing from the 21st day, while also engaging in seeking forgiveness from Allah,” he said.

The cleric also reminded the Muslim faithful to be closer to Almighty Allah during, and after the holy month of Ramadan and seek forgiveness of their sins from the creator. (NAN)
