A council member in Gwandu emirate known as Iyyan gwandu has joined hundreds of relations, lovers, admirers and well-wishers in wishing his royal highness the Emir of Gwandu and Chairman Council of Chiefs Kebbi state, Muhammad Iliyasu Bashar who turns 80.

In his message, the Iyyan Gwandu Alhaji Ibrahim Kudu described his royal highness as an honest, truthful, dedicated, and impartial traditional ruler, which he inherited from his great grandparents the great scholars of Gwandu and Sokoto Usmanu Dan fodio and Abdullahin Gwandu whose reign brought peace and abundant education.

Iyya added that aside from his royal highness western education he has strict Islamic training and often times encourage all his council members to seek Islamic and western education as the only solution to human earthly and eternal problems, “as your royal highness turns 80 years of age, I wish him more long life, good health and prosperity may Allah continue to protect him against his detractors.

Iyyan Gwandu maintained that Gwandu emirate under his royal highness is passing through real purposeful leadership poised to always stand by his subjects and at the same time protect same subjects from being oppressed by traditional rulers at all levels, he always ensures equity and justice, we must celebrate him Iyya added.Â
