Chairman, board of directors and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Alh. Muhammad Mustapha Bintube made the pledged when he led the board and members of the management team on courtesy visit to Emir of Kano, Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero, on Wednesday.
Bintube who intimated the Emir on the tremendous achievements in the volume of business transaction and the turn over in it’s dividends and balance sheet over the years, applauded the royal support and blessings the palace has shown the financial institution over the years.
Alh. Bintube told the Emir that the board and the management of Jaiz was at the palace to intimate the emir on the 11th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled to hold Thursday 27th of July, in Kano.
The managing director of the bank, Dr. Sirajo Salisu who went down history line on the humble beginning of Jaiz disclosed Jaiz that secured licensed in 2011 and commenced operations in subsequent year with only 3 branches, not boost of over 40 branches across the country.
Dr. Salisu hinted that with six branches spread across the ancient city, Kano has the largest customer based with high volume of transactions, a development which inform the hosting of the 11th AGM in Kano.
Emir of Kano, Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero while recieving the top management emphasized the impact of Islamic banking system in the economic development across the globe.
The first class Monarch explained non-interest banking system which is practiced globally including Nigeria has provided sustainable opportunity to fiscal growth and economic development.
The emir applauded the management of Jaiz Bank for pioneering Islamic banking in Nigeria, thereby providing alternative to the conventional system with the introduction of Islamic products for Muslims and other interested individuals.
The board and management of the bank also paid similar courtesy visit to business mogul, Alh. Aminu Alhassan Dantata while seeking his continue support to widen it’s customers base in Kano. Alh. Dantata also commended the bank management for their frantic efforts to promote Islamic banking and contributing to the economic development of the country.
