The Kaduna State Security Council, under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, has announced a relaxation of the curfew imposed on August 4, 2024.

Effective from Thursday, August 8, 2024, the curfew will now be observed from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily. During this period, movement will be restricted, but citizens can freely engage in activities between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

This adjustment follows a thorough review of the security situation in Kaduna and Zaria towns and their surrounding areas. The updated curfew aims to balance public safety with the need for daily economic and social activities.

Samuel Aruwan, the Overseeing Commissioner for the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, highlighted the council’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in the state.

He assured that security forces will continue to enforce the curfew strictly and address any actions that could disrupt law and order.

Residents are advised to comply with the revised curfew hours and remain vigilant to support ongoing security efforts.
