Kaduna State Government has ordered private, public schools in Kaduna state for three weeks.
Thus, Students in both Public, Private schools of the state will no longer resume academic activities on the 25th of July, as earlier stated in the 2020/2021 academic calendar.
A development that the leadership explained is giving the state time to review the current academic calendar to ensure normal school activities are not affected.

However, a review of the academic calendar does not affect students sitting for the year NECO senior school certificate exams.
According to a statement assigned by the permanent secretary, Ministry of Education, Dr Yusuf Saleh.
The statement reads in part: “Kaduna State Government wishes to inform the public that as all Public and Private schools close for the 2nd term holiday on Friday, 16th of July 2021, Lerner’s are to remain at home for three (3) weeks from this date and will no longer resume on the 25th of July as earlier stated in the 2020/2021 academic calendar.
This is to give the state time to review the current academic calendar to ensure that normal school activities are not affected. This 3 weeks closure does not affect those writing the 2021 NECO senior school certificate exams”.
Continuing, it assured as soon as the calendar is revised, the public would be communicated further.
All schools are expected to comply with the above directives as failure to do will attract appropriate sanctions, the statement warned.
