The sad event took place this morning when some unknown gunmen broke into her family resident in Manchok, Kaura LGA and shot her severally.
“Her husband was brutality shot in the leg and he is currently in an undisclosed hospital. The killers did not take any valuables in the house, suggesting assassination as the only mission of the wicked actors.
“Mrs Chimtex was known for her ability to relate well with people, an endowment she used in bringing hundreds of resourceful new entrants into the Labour Party in Kaura LGA.
“She was known for her relentless campaign for the ‘OBIdient’ cause and she made a lot of converts.
“It saddens our hearts that such an industrious, hard working and dedicated women leader was killed when the family of Labour Party from the local government, zonal and the state needed her the most at this critical time that Nigerians are in quest for a new Nigeria through the Labour Party.”
It added, “The zonal leadership of the Labour Party in Zone 3, is bereaved at this moment. We are calling on all the members of Labour Party from each polling unit, ward, local government, zonal, state and the national levels to pray along with us at this critical time.
“Her killing will indeed remain sad in our hearts forever, but it shall not break our spirit or intimidate us from pursuing the election of the Labour Party into all elective offices in 2023, because we truly believe that a new Nigeria is possible under the leadership of Peter Obi as president of Nigeria.
“Mrs Chimtex was a dedicated and committed mother of six children and also adopted three children making her have nine children under her care. They do not have a mother now, with a father battling for his life.
