Samuel Aruwan, the Overseeing Commissioner for the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, explained that the restriction is designed to ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of the polls.

โ€œVehicular movement, commercial activities, and any related engagements that may disrupt law and order are to cease within the restricted period,โ€ Aruwan stated. He further clarified that only individuals on essential duties, with proper identification and clearance, would be exempt from the directive.

Aruwan urged the public to avoid actions that could disturb public peace or interfere with the elections. He emphasized that security agencies have been deployed to enforce the restriction and maintain order.

Residents are advised to report any disturbances or threats to public order through the Kaduna State Security Operations Room using the provided hotlines: 09034000060 and 08170189999.
