One of the leading Support Groups for APC Presidential candidates known as The Asiwaju Group (TAG) has endorsed the candidacy of Honourable Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada OON for Governor of Kano state in the 2023 general elections.
The Head of the group, Mubarak Baffa Muhammad stated this when he led members to declare their support for Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada as Governor of Kano state in the 2023 general elections.
This was stated by Mubarak Baffa Muhammad, the group’s leader, as he led members in pledging support for Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada. The Asiwaju Group (TAG), according to Mubarak Baffa Muhammad during the presidential elections, has resolved to support Asiwaju Bola Tinubu but would not support the APC in Kano during the governorship race.
Malam Baffa told the Gubernatorial Candidate that they have realized Sharada’s quality in becoming the governor of Kano state and have since mobilized their people to cast their vote en-masse for Honourable Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada.
In a remark the ADP Governorship candidate and a member of the House of representatives for Municipal federal Constituency, Honourable Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada OON, said they are yet to decide on any of the presidential candidates vying for the presidency.
He expressed appreciation for TAG’s decision to support him for governor of Kano State, stating that this shows how Nigeria’s democracy is gaining strength as more people choose candidates with a proven track record of service and competency.
Honourable Sha’aban added that him and his millions of followers in Kano are still on the fence noting that they are yet to decide on any of the Presidential Candidates.
The ADP candidate informed TAG that some top APC elements in other states who are close to Asiwaju want force some of his supporters who are ready to vote for Asiwaju at the centre to withdraw their support and work for APC Governorship candidate in Kano.
The candidate further advised those elements to concentrate on the crisis affecting their state chapters of APC rather than exhausting their energy on futile Political mission.
Honourable Sha’aban Ibrahim said Kano people are wiser enough to cast their votes on candidates who are competent to deliver irrespective of their political parties.
He noted that their distraction will not stop him ,the ADP and millions of his admirers and supporters from mobilising Votes as he prepares to take over Kano Government House come May 29, 2023.
