The Kano State Fire Service has revealed that it has saved properties worth N102 million as three people died in fire accidents.
Daily News 24 reports that the service stated this in its monthly report for the August 2024, issued to journalists by PFS Saminu Yusuf, the spokesperson of the agency.
The report added that it responded to a total of 21 fire calls, 11 rescue calls and no false alarms throughout the month.

However, the report indicates that the fire incidents recorded during the month led to an estimated property loss of N47.8 million
“Sadly, the fires claimed three lives but the fire service managed to rescue three individuals from these incidents,” it stated.
On his part, the Director of the Service Hassan Ahmad Muhammad, called on the public to “handle fire with care” to prevent such incidents.
He also urged motorists to “drive carefully and adhere to traffic laws” to avoid road accidents.
