Kano State Government has approved the promotion of 102 workers in the mainstream of the civil service in the month of August.
The Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Mr Bello Kiru, made the disclosure in a statement issued at the end of the commission’s meeting on the senior staff promotion exercise, on Friday in Kano.
The statement was issued by the commission’s Public Relations Officer, Malam Ismail Gwammaja.
Kiru explained that 102 workers were promoted while two disciplinary cases were treated respectively based on the civil service rules.
The chairman also charged the promoted staff to reciprocate the gesture by committing themselves to their assigned duties diligently for the overall development, he emphasised.
He expressed his appreciation for the conduct of the members of the commission for exhibiting a high sense of discipline and maturity throughout the exercise despite some challenges bedevilling the smooth running of the exercise.
Kiru urged them to keep the flag flying for accelerated development of the service in the state. (NAN)
