Kano State government has approved an immediate commencement of intensive training of Six hundred teachers with education background deployed from various MDAs, LEAs and local Government Councils.
This was disclosed by the Kano State Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru in a statement issued by the Ministry’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Aliyu Yusuf.

According to the Commissioner, the one week intensive training programme is to serve as a refresher course for the teachers with a view training them on proper track of the teaching line.
“As civil servants with teaching qualifications but engaged in different non teaching schedules over the years and now deployed back to education sector to teach, giving them an intensive training on teaching methodology and other related courses will no doubt refresh their capacities to serve better,” he added.
The Commissioner also said that 200 teachers will be selected from each of the 3 senatorial zones as master trainers that will facilitate Stepdown training to other teachers.
Majidadin kiru however, expressed appreciation to Kano state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for given the approval to conduct the training, stressing that this has further demonstrated the political will and total commitment of the present administration in the development of the state Education Sector.
