The statement signed by Abdullahi Balarabe Kiru, the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry quoted Mr. Doguwa explaining that the decision to postpone the Kano schools resumption date is compelled by some urgent reasons.

The commissioner revealed that the ministry would set another date for the schools’ resumption.

โ€I wish to inform pupils, students and parents that the announcement earlier made for schools resumption on 8th and 9th Sept, 2024 is now being postponed due to some urgent reasons that would help in improving conducive learning atmosphere for our children.

Another date for Kano schools resumption will be announced in due course,โ€ the commissioner said.

The statement also appealed to students as well as parents/guardians to bear with any inconvenience that may be caused due to the postponement.
